Hospitalist Physician Per diem at St. Joseph's M.C. Yonkers, NY, US Salary Range: $140.00 To $150.00 Hourly Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Per Diem Hospitalist to join our inpatient medicine team at St. Joseph's Medical Center. This position provides high-quality, evidence-based care to hospitalized adult patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional clinical outcomes and patient experiences. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering compassionate, efficient, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Must doprocedures , central lines and intubation. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for adult patients. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Perform patient admissions, daily rounds, consultations, and discharges. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices. Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, case managers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Comply with all hospital policies, regulatory standards, and clinical protocols. Provide cross-coverage for hospitalist colleagues as needed during assigned shifts. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Current, unrestricted state medical license (or eligibility for licensure). DEA registration and current BLS/ACLS certification. Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
