Maintenance Technician III

Maintenance Tech IIIChewy is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Tech III at our Fulfillment Center in Pittston, PA. This position is responsible for preventative maintenance of the facility conveyance system, fixing, repairing and maintaining warehouse equipment, rack repair & changes, working at heights, performing battery changes, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication and carpentry. This position covers a wide variety of facilities, maintenance, and utilities requirements across a large fulfillment center!Are you ready to lead the pack? Our team looks forward to speaking with you!Why you'll love working here:Climate-controlled environmentEmployee 20% Discount Program at Chewy for all your pet needsTeam building events and company-sponsored luncheonsCareer growth and promotion opportunitiesInsurance eligibility on the 1st of the MonthWhat you'll do:Ensure that all equipment is operating accurately and safely.Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned and according to schedule.Perform inspections of conveyor systems, air systems, shipping, packing equipment and building systems.Daily tasks may include: plumbing, painting, rack repair, cleaning, general carpentry skills and metal fabrication.Change batteries and repair batteries and chargers as needed.Ability to tackle problems and fix various conveyor and packaging systems.Manage repair orders and parts usage records.Work in various seasonal climates.Follow company policies and safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.Other duties as assigned.What you'll need:3-5 years technical experience in Distribution or Manufacturing environment480/3 phase electrical experience along with low voltage AC/DC experienceExperience with building systems such as fire suppression, air compressors, power distributionUnderstanding of PLCs and ladder logicStandard I/O device knowledgeConveyor experience and powered industrial truck experience preferredMechanical experienceWindows/PC experienceHVAC knowledgeHydraulics and Pneumatics experienceAbility to instruct and mentor others and to work nights, weekends and overtimeChewy is an equal opportunity employer.
