• Employment Type: Locum tenens (contract)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm
• Call: two nights of overnight beeper call per week
• Patient Encounters: 6 per shift
• Department Beds: 14 (sub-acute residential unit)
• Start Date: May 25, 2026 (ASAP)
• End Date: October 18, 2026 (potential to extend)

• Completion of an Addiction Medicine fellowship
• Board-certified in Addiction Medicine or Psychiatry (board certification required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience in detox/addiction psychiatry or SUD treatment
• Experience providing medical detox for opiates and alcohol
• Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and medications: Librium (chlordiazepoxide), buprenorphine products (Suboxone, Subutex, Sublocade), and methadone
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 30 days (locum credentialing support available)

• Provide medical detoxification and stabilization for patients with substance use disorders (primarily opiates and alcohol)
• Perform patient evaluations, daily progress assessments, and follow-up care within a sub-acute residential setting
• Prescribe and manage MAT therapies, including buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex/Sublocade), methadone, and protocols involving Librium as appropriate
• Manage overnight beeper call rotation and respond to urgent detox-related needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team (nurses, therapists, case managers) to optimize patient outcomes
• Document clinical encounters, treatment plans, and transfer/discharge summaries per facility policy
