This role requires a strategic leader who can balance high‑level planning with hands‑on management of key accounts and sales performance. Responsibilities Develop and implement national sales strategies, plans, and quotas aligned with company goals and revenue targets. Build and maintain relationships with key national and strategic accounts. Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategy accordingly. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives. Establish sales performance metrics, monitor team performance against goals, and implement corrective action plans as needed. Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to executive leadership. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand company reach. Oversee pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and terms for major accounts. Recruit, train, and develop sales talent to build a high‑performing sales organization. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including 5+ years in a senior sales leadership role. Experience in the packaging, manufacturing, or industrial distribution industry strongly preferred. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding national sales targets. Required Skills Strong leadership and team management skills with experience managing multi-regional sales teams. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and sales analytics tools. Familiarity with Synergy and/or Infor Cloudsuite Distribution. Ability to travel frequently to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and support regional teams. Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
