Emergency Department Tech

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Full-Time Emergency Department Technician! ED Tech - Emergency Department Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center - Woodbridge, VA ~Full-time & Night 7:00pm-7:00am 36 hours/week Overview Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients and performs patient procedures and treatments under their supervision. De‑escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents. New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum education: EMT‑B with state or national certification at time of hire Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School (qualified MMAC candidates) Current student enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the above criteria. Education HS – High School Grad or Equivalent Certification / Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) EMT‑B with state or national certification (if applicable) Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School (MMAC) Current student enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years (considered) Experience Previous clinical experience (preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
