The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Human Resources Manager will own the day-to-day people operations of TTi Logistics, including payroll, benefits, 401(k) administration, employee engagement, compliance, and performance management. This is a foundational role in building TTi’s HR infrastructure, responsible for accurate and on-time payroll, dependable benefits and retirement plan administration, and the operational discipline that keeps the company compliant and its employees supported across multiple states.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a growth-stage, fast paced environment and is energized by building processes, managing vendor and PEO partners, developing people, and delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Compensation
- Run the weekly payroll cycle end to end — calculate and submit to Questco, and record the run
- Oversee payroll processing for accuracy and compliance, handle inquiries, and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with finance and accounting to reconcile payroll-related accounts
- Support annual salary, 401(k), and bonus program budgeting in partnership with the CFO
- Administer the management bonus program, including goal collection, achievement assessment, and payout with board approval
Benefits & 401(k) Administration
- Manage employee benefits programs (health, 401(k), life and disability, etc.), including annual open enrollment and communication of changes
- Administer new-hire benefits, employee changes, and terminations
- Administer the company 401(k) plan, including weekly contribution transfers with Accounting for recording
- Manage annual 401(k) compliance — IRS filings, contribution schedules, reporting packages with the plan advisor, and the prior-year employer contribution upload
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, sourcing strategies, and interview processes
- Manage ZipRecruiter job postings and optimize recruiting spend and performance
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruiting agencies, universities, and professional networks
Onboarding & Orientation
- Design and execute new-hire onboarding and orientation through Questco, including internal setup and I-9 verification
- Ensure new hires complete all required paperwork, training, and system access
- Facilitate integration of new employees into TTi's culture and processes
- Process employee terminations and offboarding through Questco
Employee Development, Coaching & Disciplinary Actions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and leadership on performance management, employee relations, counseling, coaching, and conflict resolution
- Lead the employee development strategy and manage the company's Performance Management program, including the annual review process, to foster continuous growth, accountability, and alignment with company goals
- Oversee disciplinary processes, investigations, and corrective action steps
- Administer the Questco learning program and coordinate employee training
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal events such as team building and recognition programs
- Facilitate internal communications and feedback mechanisms
- Support programs to enhance employee morale, retention, and culture alignment
Community Presence & Outreach
- Represent TTi at external community and industry events, including job fairs, professional associations, and university partnerships
- Lead corporate social responsibility initiatives and volunteer programs
- Build the employer brand locally and regionally
Policies, Procedures & Compliance
- Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, handbooks, and procedures
- Maintain HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Complete annual OSHA reporting for Florida and New Jersey
- Prepare quarterly reporting — employee count, tenure, and median salary — for ownership and lenders
- Conduct audits, maintain documentation, and update policies as needed
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
– SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
– 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory or management responsibility
– Hands-on, multi-state payroll processing experience required
– Experience working with a PEO (Questco or similar) strongly preferred
– 401(k) plan administration and ERISA compliance experience
– Benefits administration and open enrollment experience
– Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR compliance, including FL and NJ
– Employee relations, coaching, and conflict resolution experience
– Experience with ZipRecruiter or comparable recruiting platforms
– Proficiency with payroll/HRIS systems
– Experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution a plus
– Familiarity with AI tools for HR reporting, recruiting, or workflow automation, a plus
– Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and strong attention to detail required
