TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Interventional Radiology RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: MO or compact nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Critical care experience, ICU or ED background, or procedural background required Ability to work independently No visible tattoos; facial piercings must be removed or covered Successful completion of required EKG exam for interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Description: Responsible for all adult interventional radiology procedures, including body, vascular, and neuro. Weekly call schedule includes weeknights and weekends, with 3 to 4 weeknight shifts and 1 to 2 weekend shifts during the contract. Agency nurse may be designated to stay past scheduled shift if procedures are incomplete. Nurses will assist in pre-procedure phone calls and provide pre and post-procedure care. Familiarity with ultrasound, fluoroscopic, and CT guided procedures is essential. Nurses will administer sedation and monitor patient responses, commonly using Fentanyl and Versed. Patient census averages around 8 patients per day per nurse. The unit handles a wide range of diagnoses and disease processes including hemodialysis access, interventional oncology, vascular disease, and central line placement. All nurses are expected to float within the service line as necessary.
