Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for patients, taking into account their personal history, current substance use, and mental health status.

• Collaborate with patients to co-create individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing mental health challenges, enhancing emotional stability, and guiding them toward successful recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy to assist patients in overcoming obstacles to their recovery.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to cultivate personal growth, develop effective coping strategies, and support emotional regulation.
\n
• Work in cooperation with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a collaborative and comprehensive treatment approach.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques when necessary and coordinating referrals for higher levels of care.

• Deliver psychoeducation to patients and their families, enabling them to understand mental health conditions and navigate available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to foster a collaborative environment and share insights that can enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on patients undergoing detoxification, many of whom may experience co-occurring mental health disorders. Your expertise in social work will play a vital role in addressing their unique challenges and facilitating a smooth transition into the continuum of care. You will work with a diverse group of patients, considering their individual backgrounds, cultures, and needs to provide tailored support.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally in a mental health or addiction treatment setting.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
