Senior Staff Accountant
Virtual Vocations Inc
Owning key components of the accounting close process, the full-time remote Senior Staff Accountant will manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis while ensuring compliance with GAAP and supporting audit processes. Key Responsibilities Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain general ledger accuracy and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation while partnering with Finance and business teams for accurate financial reporting Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and financial close processes Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems
