Why This Role Is Exciting As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team. Shape and lead the Association’s people and HR strategy in alignment with our mission and long-term goals. Build, coach, and develop a high-performing HR team and strengthen the leadership pipeline. Help shape organizational culture, employee engagement, performance, retention, and organizational effectiveness. Lead innovative approaches to talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employer branding. Bring a forward-thinking approach to HR analytics, technology, and workforce intelligence to drive better organizational decisions. Serve as a senior leader and subject-matter expert in employee relations and employment law, partnering closely with legal counsel. Partner across the organization to strengthen the employee experience and position the Tampa Y as an employer of choice. Help guide the organization through growth, change, and continued innovation while keeping people and mission at the center. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role. Proven success building and developing high-performing HR teams. Strong expertise in employee relations, workplace investigations, and employment law. Experience partnering directly with executive leadership to influence organizational strategy. Strong business acumen, executive presence, communication, coaching, and analytical skills. Experience leveraging HRIS, workforce analytics, data, and technology to drive organizational outcomes. A demonstrated ability to think strategically, translate trends into innovative practices, and proactively support organizational growth. A strong commitment to retention, leadership development, and building a strong organizational culture. A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of an organization. Passion for the YMCA mission and making a meaningful impact in the community. SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred. Must be able to work in person in the Tampa area and travel throughout the Association as needed.
