Assignment Type: 3-Month Contract with Potential for Extension

Compensation: $24 - $26 / hour, depending on experience

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for your next opportunity? Our client is seeking a dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join their collaborative team. This is a great opportunity for someone with an accounting-related degree and prior AP experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, eager to contribute, and comfortable handling invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment preparation. This role offers the opportunity to build on your accounting knowledge while gaining valuable experience with a well-established organization.



What You’ll Be Doing

• Process and enter a high volume of purchase order (PO) and non-PO invoices into the accounting system.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and appropriate approvals.
• Perform three-way matching between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with preparing and processing ACH payments, wire transfers, and check runs.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and account discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals.
• Follow company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 1–3 years of accounts payable, accounting, or related administrative experience preferred.
• Familiarity with invoice processing, vendor accounts, and payment procedures.
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic.
