Job Description

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling thermal chambers and sub-assemblies using mechanical and electrical components according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing specifications. This role works as part of a production team to ensure products are built safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble thermal chambers, sub-assemblies, wire harnesses, and metal components using manufacturing instructions and schematics.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to complete builds accurately.
• Inspect finished assemblies, identify defects, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience with mechanical assembly and the use of hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical assembly, including basic wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong measurement, problem-solving, and quality inspection skills with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or fabrication experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC-related tools and testing equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, static-free, temperature-controlled production facility. Work involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout shifts that can be up to 10 hours. Available schedules include first shift (Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and second shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.). The environment uses a wide range of hand tools, power tools, HVAC equipment, and cutting and fastening tools. Team members are expected to follow all safety protocols and maintain appropriate work attire suitable for a production and assembly setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winona, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.13 - $21.13/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
