Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while remaining connected to a supportive team environment. Our practice fosters a culture of collaboration, where team members actively participate in case consultations and professional development activities. The work schedule generally runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that reflect the developmental needs and family dynamics of the patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy, to address various mental health issues.
\n
• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication and support within the family unit.
\n
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other team members to coordinate holistic treatment strategies.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stability for our young patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation that meets legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficiency.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews to share insights and strategies for patient care improvement.
\n
• Keep abreast of current research, best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work with a diverse population of children and adolescents dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. This role is essential in providing specialized support through tailored therapeutic approaches, ensuring that each child receives the comprehensive care they need to thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and related evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience delivering both individual and family therapy, demonstrating a child-centered approach.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to establish rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and various computer applications.
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience within outpatient mental health settings, particularly focusing on child and adolescent populations.

• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and family dynamics as they pertain to mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
