Procurement Analyst

As a Procurement Analyst, you will be the strategic link between our engineering, operations, finance, and business leadership. You will leverage data analytics and total cost modeling to optimize our inventory, strengthen supplier partnerships, and ensure our production lines never miss a beat. We are looking for a technical procurement professional with a deep understanding of Aluminum castings, plastic injection molding along with tool life expectancy, who has a proven history of Identify cost reduction opportunities through process improvements, design-for-manufacturability (DFM), and volume leverage.

Key Job Elements

• Strategic Material Management: Take ownership of material availability. You will analyze MRP output, manage item master data, and ensure seamless production flow through precise inventory optimization.

• Specialized Sourcing: Function as the subject matter expert for aluminum casting and plastic injection molding. You will evaluate supplier capabilities-from mold flow analysis to tooling life expectancy-and lead high-level cost modeling.

• Supplier Partnership & Performance: Build and maintain resilient relationships with global suppliers and distributors. You will lead negotiations, manage OTD (On-Time Delivery) metrics, and collaborate with Supplier Quality on PPAP and material dispositions.

• Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Operations to influence component strategy. Whether it is supporting New Product Introductions (NPI) or managing product lifecycles, you will work to ensure our supply chain resilience.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or Finance, backed by 3-5+ years of procurement experience specifically within casting or injection molding environments.

• Technical Literacy: Deep proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills. If you have experience with Tableau, that is a major plus.

• Analytical Rigor: Interpretation of large datasets, building complex cost models (TCO/DFM), and converting insights into actionable business plans.

• Process Knowledge: Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and supplier quality processes. APICS, ISM, or CPSM certifications are highly valued.

• Ownership Mindset: You are a proactive problem-solver who thrives on initiative and has the interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
