About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Lexington, Kentucky, 40502!

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, risk factors, and presenting complaint into individualized care planning
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice, including medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team in a timely and appropriate manner
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including discharge teaching and collaboration with Case Management
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment and technology
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education

• Recent acute care experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
