Human Resources Assistant Position

Bean Sprouts Café is a women-owned, award-winning, hip & healthy café concept located inside family destinations such as children's museums, science centers and amusement parks. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support our organization's Human Resources functions and contribute to building a strong, talented workforce.

This is part-time position, averaging 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday. This is a fully remote position, to be located in the Richmond, VA area.

Human Resources Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist with the recruitment process, including maintaining job posts and candidate records, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
• Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department
• Assist with providing timely responses to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
• Support onboarding and orientation programs for new hires
• Assist with special projects and operational tasks as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive records

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attentive to detail and solution focused
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with Human Resource Information Systems or Applicant Tracking Systems is a plus
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in human resources or recruiting is a plus
