Fund Accounting Manager

Director, Private Capital Consulting

We are seeking an experienced consulting leader to build and lead a practice focused on delivering high-impact solutions for private capital and financial services clients. This individual will be responsible for practice strategy, client delivery, operational performance, and the continued growth of consulting services supporting complex private-market technology and transformation initiatives.

The role requires a combination of private equity domain expertise, consulting leadership, commercial acumen, and experience delivering complex software implementations and transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall strategy for the consulting practice, including service offerings, organizational structure, delivery methodology, and growth priorities.
• Lead complex consulting and implementation engagements across private equity, private capital, fund accounting, and related financial-services environments.
• Serve as a senior advisor to clients, developing strong relationships with C-level executives, operating leaders, finance teams, and technology stakeholders.
• Ensure successful delivery of client engagements, with a focus on measurable business outcomes, client satisfaction, and long-term relationships.
• Own the commercial and financial performance of the practice, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, utilization, and overall P&L management.
• Partner closely with sales and relationship teams throughout the sales cycle, helping identify opportunities, shape solutions, scope engagements, and support the closing of new business.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional consulting, implementation, and advisory services.
• Oversee complex software implementations, platform upgrades, operating-model changes, and transformation initiatives.
• Optimize staffing and resource allocation across active client engagements, business development, and strategic initiatives.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing consulting professionals while building a flexible organization capable of responding to changing client demand.
• Establish delivery standards, methodologies, governance, and best practices that improve consistency and execution across engagements.
• Work across product, technology, sales, and client-facing organizations to ensure consulting solutions align with broader business and client objectives.
• Monitor market trends across private capital and financial technology to identify new client needs and opportunities for the practice.
• Provide senior leadership with visibility into practice performance, pipeline, delivery risks, resource requirements, and growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience across consulting, private equity/private capital, financial technology, software implementation, or related financial-services environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex technology implementations, system upgrades, or transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of private capital operations, ideally including private equity fund accounting, investment operations, reporting, or related workflows.
• Proven experience managing senior client relationships and advising executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong commercial orientation with experience supporting business development, solutioning, and client expansion.
• Experience managing practice or engagement financials, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and resource utilization.
• Strong leadership skills with experience building, managing, and developing consulting or professional-services teams.
• Ability to navigate complex client organizations and bring together business, operational, and technology stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of financial-services risk, controls, and regulatory considerations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% or more as client needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with private equity fund accounting and reporting platforms or comparable private-capital technology.
• Background leading a consulting or professional-services practice with responsibility for both client delivery and commercial performance.
• Experience growing consulting relationships within private equity firms, alternative asset managers, fund administrators, or other private-market organizations.
• Relevant industry or professional certifications are a plus.
