Anesthesiologist Location: San Francisco, California (primary site in San Francisco; floats to Bay Area sister facilities)
Schedule: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, 5 days/week - full-time preferred, minimum 2 weeks per month
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $345 - $350/hr Astrya Global, a San Diego-based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Anesthesiologist for a temporary assignment in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a 26-week locum tenens contract with the ability to extend. About the Role This is hospital-based OR coverage within a high-acuity tertiary care system. Providers float between high-acuity inpatient centers and ambulatory surgery centers across the health system's Bay Area sister facilities, and must be comfortable covering both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

- Predominantly general surgical cases, with occasional regional cases
- No cardiac, liver, or neuro cases
- Work is predominantly solo in the operating room, with occasional oversight of CRNAs
- Patient population: adults and adolescents 13+
- EMR: EPIC
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology (truly board-eligible candidates may be considered, particularly if fellowship-trained)
- Active California medical license
- Active CA DEA with Schedule 2/2N
- BLS and ACLS - must be AHA
- Minimum 2 years of anesthesiology experience
- Recent experience (last 2-3 years) at tertiary care centers, with a mix of inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
- Recent solo-practice experience required
- Experience with high-acuity (ASA 3+) cases preferred
- Regional anesthesia experience preferred
- Trauma experience strongly preferred
- Experience or interest in occasionally working alongside CRNAs
- COVID-19 vaccine + booster required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Weekly pay every Friday
