Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our equipped surgical center, which provides a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere for delivering advanced eye care. Operating hours are from Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to 7 PM, allowing for consistent patient care during regular business hours. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed history-taking, thorough physical examinations, and precise diagnostic evaluations reflective of ocular health.
• Order, interpret, and act on lab results, imaging, and other diagnostic tests to inform clinical decisions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans alongside supervising physicians, ensuring that plans align with best practices in eye care and patient preferences.
• Perform a variety of medical procedures within the scope of practice, including suturing, wound care, and catheter placements, as relevant to patient care.
• Maintain detailed documentation of clinical encounters and patient progress using our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy for continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, treatment options, and post-discharge care to empower them toward making informed health choices.
• Engage in daily rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care standards.
• Maintain current licensure, participate in professional development opportunities, and uphold accreditation standards for the PA role.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program with strong foundational medical knowledge.
• Current and active Physician Assistant license in the State of New Jersey.

• DEA registration with prescriptive authority in New Jersey is required to facilitate appropriate patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
