Job Title RN – Med Surg / Telemetry (Travel Nurse) Location Omaha, Nebraska – Nebraska Medical Center (NMC) and Bellevue Medical Center (BMC) Position Summary Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. The role will involve providing care across Med Surg and Telemetry units, with possible assignments to either NMC or BMC campuses. Schedule & Compensation Start Date: 10/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks (option 26 weeks) Hours: 48 hours per week (12‑hour 4x12‑hour shifts, 36‑hour or 48‑hour option) Shift: Night 12‑hour (19:00–07:00); 4x12‑hour option available Contract end: Saturday/Sunday (all contracts end on Sunday) Guaranteed hours: 48 hours per week Travel & Float Travelers are first considered for floating. RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs. Float may include assignment to the BMC campus 16 minutes from the main campus. Units & Scope 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU Additional units include MS/Tele with cardio, neuro, ortho focus, and COVID units. Qualifications & Experience BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred. Minimum 2 years’ prior experience in a large, urban hospital. EPIC charting experience required. First‑time travelers not accepted (unless 2 years exp at a Level I Academic Medical Center). Must be able to manage drips (Nitro‑Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, Lasix). Strong skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias, cardiac telemetry, rapid response/code teams, peripheral line management, non‑invasive airway management, isolation precautions, PPE, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks. Licensing & Certifications Licensed as RN in Nebraska. Pending state license accepted, but RN license must be in hand at time of submission; otherwise booking scheduled six weeks out. Allied licensing accepted up to 8 weeks. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS. Additional Requirements COVID‑19 vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions only). Flu vaccine not required. Holiday requirement: Must work 2 or 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s). Locals not accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility. Scrubs mandatory – Navy gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo; gray T‑shirts available at company store. Parking: Monthly permit approx. $55 or daily rate $3 for 20 hrs. RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of return to office allowed; must submit with application. 100% nicotine‑free facility.
