School-Based Psychologist – Rockford, Illinois
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed School Psychologist for a full-time, school-based position supporting elementary students in Rockford, Illinois for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Position Details:
- Number of Positions: 1
- Caseload: Elementary
- Setting: Onsite Only
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Period: August 2026 – May/June 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours
About the District:
This is a collaborative and supportive district with multiple School Psychologists on staff. The district is open to discussing caseload preferences and will work with the selected candidate to place them in the best fit based on their experience and strengths!
School-Based Psychologists may provide:
- Initial psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations
- Eligibility determinations and eligibility assessments
- Social-emotional and behavioral assessments
- Collaboration with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participation in IEP meetings and eligibility determination
- Consultation and support for teachers and staff
- Progress monitoring and documentation
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation support
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist licensure required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) – School Psychologist endorsement required
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology required
- Elementary school-based experience preferred
- Experience conducting initials and re-evaluations strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Compensation:
This is a W-2 hourly position. Compensation varies based on experience and qualifications. Hourly rates are competitive and negotiable.
