Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (ER) Travel Assignment in Middlebury, Vermont. Start date: 10/12/2026 for 14 weeks. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12). Weekly pay: $2,549–$2,734. Work setting: hospital emergency department.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, and continuous monitoring of acuity levels
- Administer medications, initiate IV access, manage IV drips, and monitor infusion rates
- Perform EKGs, venipuncture, wound care, and assist with procedures; apply restraints as needed
- Document all care in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and maintain accurate, timely records
- Collaborate with ED team, physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff; participate in transports to higher levels of care when required
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, infection control, and effective handoffs during shift changes and transfers

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (unrestricted) to practice in the applicable state
- Minimum 2 years of ED/ER clinical experience; at least 1 prior travel assignment
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC or TNCC (TNCC or proof of class with date applied must be in packet); NRP; NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start)
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Availability to participate in the unit’s rotation schedule (7a–7p, 11a–11p, 3p–3a, 7p–7a); holiday requirements with flexibility; no block scheduling
- Charge nurse experience is highly preferred; able to contribute to precepting if needed
- Willingness to participate in patient transports as needed

Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure (educational level accepted: ADN or BSN)
