Accounting Assistant

A stable and growing insurance organization is seeking an Accounting Assistan t to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in accounting while gaining hands‑on experience with Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and General Ledger support. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are key to success in this role. Responsibilities Process Accounts Payable invoices, commissions, and payments Perform bank reconciliations and balance statements Prepare and distribute daily cash reports Verify payment accuracy and issue or reissue checks as needed Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation Respond to inquiries regarding commissions and payment status Support month-end activities and special accounting projects Assist with departmental operations and continuous process improvements Qualifications Previous experience in accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, banking, or office administration Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills Experience with Concur or Tracker software is a plus Ability to work independently and collaboratively Schedule Monday-Friday

8:15 AM-4:30 PM
