Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience operating CNC press Brakes in a manufacturing or fabrication environment\nAbility to read blueprints and technical drawings\nUnderstanding of bend theory and how different materials (stainless steel) behave when formed\nAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Any hand-forming experience\nExperience with Trumpf press brakes (this is what Baader uses)\nFamiliar with offline programming software\nExperience with tandem or robotic press brake cells\nBasic knowledge of welding, laser cutting, or other fabrication processes

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to set up and run press brake equipment that forms sheet metal and plate into precise parts. You will read blueprints, program and tool the machine, and check finished parts against specifications, with attention to both quality and safety.\n \nResponsibilities:\nSet up and operate CNC press brakes to bend and form sheet metal, plate, and other materials to specification\nRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders, including GD&T callouts\nSelect, install, and adjust tooling (punches, dies, back gauges) for each job\nProgram bend sequences, angles, and backgauge positions at the machine control, or load and verify programs from offline software\nCalculate bend allowances, deductions, and springback compensation\nInspect parts during and after production using calipers, protractors, angle gauges, micrometers, and height gauges\nMaintain quality and production targets while keeping scrap and rework low\nHandle and move material safely, using overhead cranes, forklifts, or lifting aids as needed\nPerform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting, and report mechanical issues promptly\nKeep the work area clean and organized\nFollow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE policies\nDocument production counts, inspection results, and job completion accurately
