Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >70 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - SSM Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: - Fast-paced neuro unit with limited Med-Surg overflow. - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Cares for stroke, neurology, neurosurgery, trauma overflow, Med-Surg overflow, and crani patients. - Med-Surg neuro unit coded as PCU functions as Med-Surg.

Special Requests: - Local candidates are not accepted. - RTO requests need to be submitted with the application. Additional requests after confirmation are at manager discretion.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements: - Float to Med-Surg and all hospital care areas to care for Med-Surg patients. This includes ICU and ED for Med-Surg holds.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
