About the Role
The Company is seeking a FinOps Optimization Lead, Vice President to spearhead the strategy, execution, and governance of cloud cost optimization initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing corporate-wide cloud optimization efforts, driving continuous cost optimization, and identifying and executing cost-saving initiatives across all cloud platforms. This role requires a strong background in building enterprise-wide cost optimization programs, with a focus on maximizing the value of cloud investments, driving efficiency, and reducing waste. The FinOps Optimization Lead will also be accountable for establishing and tracking KPIs, providing financial management support, and collaborating with global teams on key business initiatives. Applicants for the FinOps Optimization Lead role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 15 years of combined experience in Cloud FinOps, computer science, and finance roles within a Fortune 500/Fortune Global 500 company. The role demands a professional with a proactive, adaptable approach, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to foster strong relationships across client organizations. Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms is essential, with a preference for those with Databricks and Snowflake optimization experience. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Cloud Practitioner (or equivalent), have a proven track record of presenting to executive leadership, and possess effective communication and collaboration skills.
