The role is accountable for executing physical and derivative trades, optimizing and trading equity and third‑party volumes, managing risk, and expanding the commercial footprint. This role works across multiple global trading teams to drive earnings and scale Chevron’s global trading platform.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and grow profitable commercial trading opportunities around a physical US NGL portfolio in the U.S. Gulf Coast region.Market equity and 3rd party production, optimizing physical positions across multiple locations.Identify, structure, and execute profitable trading strategies utilizing physical NGLs and derivative instruments, with a sharp focus on earnings generation and control of associated risk positions.Perform market analysis to uncover trends and inform trading decisions across the global trading teams.Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, working closely with other traders, analysts and schedulers within Chevron, as well as with external trading partners and market participants.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degreeMinimum 5 years demonstrated NGL trading experience with focus on Mont Belvieu hub tradingStrong knowledge of Y-grade and NGL purity products, including physical flows and infrastructureUnderstanding of global NGL/LPG flows and associated arbitrage opportunitiesPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree8+ years of professional experience in a trading/marketing capacityAdditional Qualifications & AttributesStrong commercial drive with the ability to proactively identify, evaluate, and execute new trading and value‑creation opportunities.Ability to assess market alternatives and translate insight into timely, well‑informed trading decisions.Solid understanding of risk principles and the application of risk management frameworks in trading environments.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team (trading, analysts, schedulers, etc.) and generate value through others by leveraging their knowledge and abilities.Relocation Options:Relocation may be consideredInternational Considerations:Expatriate assignments will not be consideredChevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.
