Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered NurseThe Messina Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at South Shore Hospital is the first and only Level III NICU located in a community hospital in Massachusetts. The Level III Messina Family NICU and the Level II Andrade Family Special Care Nursery enable us to care for babies born at any time in pregnancy who have a wide range of medical conditions. The unit is staffed by doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists with specific training in the care of ill, premature, and recovery newborns. Our NICU doctors are dually affiliated with both South Shore Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital. ***3-5 years current NICU level III RN experience required***Compensation Pay Range: $38.20 - $77.39Responsibilities include:Medication AdministrationPlan of care/Documentation/Patient Family Centered Care/Patient ExperienceSafety/Quality - Foster's a "Culture of Safety" through personal ownership and commitment to a safe environment.Professional Development: Assumes overall responsibility for own professional development by incorporating evidenced-based practice, research, and performance improvement initiatives as a part of ongoing nursing practice.Technology: Utilizes technological solutions to work processes and practices.CompliancePatient and Family Centered CareAge & CultureMinimum Education - Preferred Graduate of an accredited School of NursingMinimum Work Experience Previous Acute Care RN experience preferredRequired Licenses/Certifications:RN - Registered NurseDepending on department Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required3 (12) hr night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am) weekend and holiday rotation.
