Job Title: Lead Cook

Position Summary:  We are seeking an experienced, organized, and dedicated Lead Cook to oversee daily "made-from-scratch" meal preparation. In this role, you will ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while leading line cooks by setting high quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a safe and clean workspace, and possesses exceptional kitchen skills.
Key Responsibilities

• Culinary Operations: Prep, season, and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and portion controls.
• Team Leadership: Guide, train, and direct kitchen staff during prep and service
• Safety & Sanitation: Enforce strict adherence to local health department codes, ServSafe procedures, HACCP standards, and sanitation schedules.
• Inventory & Stocking: Monitor daily food usage, and assist with stock rotation (FIFO).
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen tools, appliances, and workstations are properly maintained, cleaned, and operated safely.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant, healthcare dining facility, or catering environment.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, assign tasks, and solve problems under pressure.
• Certifications: ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certification preferred
• Technical Skills: Strong knife skills, thorough understanding of cooking techniques, and ability to read/follow standardized recipes.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a hot kitchen environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
