Club Manager

Club Manager Reports to: District Manager Status: Full Time / Supervisor / Exempt / Non-Exempt Job Summary Responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure a positive member experience and a financially successful club. Responsibilities Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members. Oversight of member service to ensure a great customer service experience. High involvement in front desk tasks: greeting, welcoming members, gym tours, handling member service issues/questions. Provide support for team members and club members. Create and maintain a positive image for the club. Coach and counsel performance to help achieve company standards. Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym. Ensure staff are aware of and trained on all current marketing promotions. Finish manager portion of onboarding in Paycom for new hires. Ensure club is open and staffed during all hours of business. Implement and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Order supplies and track inventory. Customer Service: communicate and interact with customers, coworkers and the public in a manner that exceeds customer wants and needs. Listening: actively listen, empathize with customers, coworkers and the public, and collaborate to solve problems. Problem Solving: recognize and define problems, analyze relevant information, encourage alternative solutions and plan resolutions, seek assistance when needed. Diplomacy: demonstrate tact and skill in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language. Communication: maintain timely and effective communication with staff, supervisors and various departments to increase productivity and prevent misunderstandings. Minimum Qualifications Honesty and good work ethic. At least 1 year of equivalent managerial experience. Strong customer service skills. Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills. Basic computer proficiency. Physical Demands Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift. Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift.
