Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will lead a team of software developers to build best-in-class software applications that drive increased efficiency for our engineers within the Blue Engines business unit. You will define coding standard methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that ultimately support the development, delivery, and sustainment of all our engines. You will be the single-threaded-leader in ensuring that the solutions we deliver as a team effectively aligns with the needs of our business customers and business processes.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Work directly with customers to develop requirements, define problem spaces, create user stories, demonstrate functionality, testing and validationAbility to transform abstract or ambiguous requests into clearly defined requirementsIn consultation with customer and stakeholders, develop and maintain the product vision and detailed development package, and roadmapDrive all aspects of the software development life cycle from design, implementation, testing, to deployment of the back-end and front-end systemsCreate and maintain product artifacts to support development efforts and business requirementsCoordinate on team priorities and developer requirements to enable incremental delivery of functionalityCapture user feedback and integrate into product version releasesDevelop software in an agile team framework, including building consensus on designs, conducting demos, and organizing / supporting SprintsThe ability to quickly absorb information in an unfamiliar domain and translate it into softwareThink outside the box. Challenge why things are done a certain way and figure out ways to improve existing solutions or processes.Minimum QualificationsMinimum of a B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or engineering fieldsMinimum of 5+ years of software or data product development experienceExperience in aerospace, manufacturing, and/or verification & test of hardwareA demonstrated ability to manage development of complex end-to-end softwareExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills throughout all levels of an organizationAbility to build trusting relationships with customersMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred QualificationsExperience with configuration management systems such as WindchillFamiliarity with Amazon Web ServicesExperience with unit testing and test-driven developmentFamiliarity Python, Next.jsUnderstanding of RESTful, GraphQL APIsUnderstanding of PostgreSQL or other databasesUnderstanding of both relational and non-relational databasesBase Pay Range for:WA applicants is $141,162.00 - $197,626.80Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
