Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm.
Location: Boston, MA
Position Type: Associate (Lateral)
Experience Level: 3+ years
Direct Counsel is working with a top-tier Am Law 100 firm to identify a Real Estate Associate for its Boston office. This is a strong opportunity to join a Chambers-ranked real estate practice handling sophisticated, large-scale transactions for a diverse and high-profile client base.
About the Practice:
The firm’s real estate group represents domestic and international clients across a broad spectrum of asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, data centers/digital infrastructure, and sustainable energy projects. Clients include private equity fund managers, family offices, and Fortune 50–500 companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support complex commercial real estate transactions, including:
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Joint ventures
- Financing transactions
- Leasing matters
- Review and negotiate loan documents, purchase agreements, and leases
- Advise clients throughout the full lifecycle of real estate transactions
- Collaborate closely with a national team while also handling matters independently
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial real estate experience
- Experience representing owners, investors, developers, lenders, landlords, and tenants
- Strong familiarity with transactional workflows and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and professionalism
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission or eligibility for admission in Massachusetts
Work Environment:
- Hybrid schedule with approximately 60% in-office presence
Compensation:
- Base salary range: $260,000 – $365,000
- Bonus eligible with comprehensive benefits package
