Violence Intervention Program Case Manager Springboard Community Services

Summary/Objective This position will support the Violence Intervention Program groups offered in Carroll and Howard Counties. This position will be responsible for completing intakes, reporting to referring agencies, reporting numbers to agency, managing billing, collecting intake and session fees, and assisting with community outreach. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Complete assigned monthly intakes to evaluate new participants for the Violence Intervention Program groups Oversee 3-4 assigned 90-minute groups weekly Complete and maintain the appropriate group and individual note documentation within 48 hours Complete a monthly progress report that is reviewed by the Lead VIP and Outreach Case Manager and sent to referring agency Complete 5-10 audits monthly, as assigned Maintain all information in a current and up-to-date fashion for reporting purposes Participate in outreach efforts that provide education and a connection to agency services Attend VIP team meetings when scheduled Maintain positive relationships with partnering and referring agencies Maintain timely documentation in accordance with agency policies in the confidential electronic health record system used by the agency. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Required Education and Experience Bachelors in mental health or social work related field is required; Experience with domestic violence, group therapy, and working with adverse populations preferred. Required Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Certification in Abuse Intervention treatment preferred, but not required Certified Anger Management Specialist preferred, but not required Work Environment The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a regular office environment.
