Service Operations Support Manager In TrainingAs a Service Operations Support Manager in Training, you will play a critical role in supporting operational excellence and associate development within CarMax's Service Operations Department. This position partners closely with the Operations Manager to lead teams, maintain inventory, and ensure smooth execution of service functions. Whether you're advancing your career or growing your skillset, we are here to drive you forward.Role ResponsibilitiesLead and manage associates to achieve production targets and maintain accurate inventory levelsProvide coaching and feedback through formal and informal observations to support associate developmentParticipate in hiring and training processes to build a strong, high-performing teamMonitor and maintain key performance measures to ensure operational successExecute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experienceResolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, delivering exceptional serviceResponsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for your department and/or location, including but not limited to self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.Required QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of management experience in a fast-paced, complex environmentAbility to lead teams to achieve production goals and maintain operational standardsSkilled in reading, interpreting, and maintaining accurate data recordsStrong multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic work settingEffective verbal and written communication skills for customer and associate interactionsProficiency in common and proprietary software systemsAbility to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including noisy or inclement conditions, with flexible scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays) and occasional travelAbout CarMaxAt CarMax, we revolutionized the used car buying experience over 30 years ago by introducing transparency and integrity into the process.
