Together, we are EXP.Are you ready to design your future?Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the MEP team for Themed Entertainment, Hospitality and Gaming projects based in Glendale, California (Los Angeles).What a day at EXP has in store for youIdentify, research, and qualify RFP/ RFQ's and upcoming projects for go/no go potentialDirect and lead submittals in response to RFP/ RFQ's.Manage existing and develop new client relationshipsPerform at a'responsible charge' level; meeting EXP's design and quality levelsManage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hoursWork with project team and clients to meet scheduled project milestones on multiple projectsApply risk management procedures daily to minimize EXP's and client's exposure to problemsUnderstand MEP/FP work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work planUnderstand proper scope of MEP/FP SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentationCoordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP, architectural, structural, etc)Edit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc)Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phasesThorough knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical codesAdvanced equipment selection and analysis (generators, UPS units, chillers, boilers)Be able to direct and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basisQA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers, and provide guidance and mentoringWhat your experience looks likeBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program10+ years of building HVAC experienceRegistered Professional Engineer in State of California preferred but not required.The pay range for this role is $120,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
