Position Overview Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Providers (PA/APRN) – Multiple Roles & Locations BayCare Medical Group | Tampa Bay, Florida BayCare Medical Group is expanding our Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider team and is seeking Physician Assistants (PA) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) to join our growing, highly collaborative neurosurgical programs across Morton Plant Hospital (Clearwater) and St. Joseph’s Hospital (Tampa) . We offer multiple roles across inpatient, outpatient, and night coverage , providing flexibility to match your experience and career goals while working alongside experienced, board-certified neurosurgeons in a supportive, team-based environment. Available Opportunities Morton Plant Hospital – Clearwater, FL (Adult Neurosurgery) Inpatient Role Hospital-based rounding, consults, and OR support Small, collaborative APP team No overnight call; light weekend daytime call rotation (~1:7) Adult-only neurosurgical population Night Float Role 3-night block scheduling (weekday or weekend rotations), structured as two weeks on, then one week off. 5:00 PM – 7:30 AM shifts (~34 hours/week) Inpatient care with first-assist opportunities Continuous in-house neurosurgery coverage St. Joseph’s Hospital – Tampa, FL (Adult & Pediatric, Level II Trauma Center) Inpatient Emergency‑Focused Role High-acuity, hospital-based neurosurgical care Hospital-based rounding, consults, and OR support No overnight call; light weekend daytime call rotation (~1:7) Collaboration with ICU and surgical teams Outpatient Clinic Role Monday–Friday schedule (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM) No overnight call; light weekend daytime call rotation (~1:7) Focus on new patient evaluations and follow-ups Strong work‑life balance Night Float Role 3-night block scheduling (weekday or weekend rotations), structured as two weeks on, then one week off. 5:00 PM – 7:30 AM shifts (~34 hours/week) Primary focus on overnight inpatient coverage Manage consults, admissions, and care coordination Collaborative night coverage model with neurosurgeons Why Join BayCare Neurosurgery Work with board-certified neurosurgeons across two leading hospitals Exposure to complex cranial, spinal, and cerebrovascular cases Structured roles aligned to your interests (outpatient, inpatient, nights) Strong mentorship and team-based culture Opportunities across community and trauma settings Located in the desirable Tampa Bay region Find Your Fit Whether you're seeking predictable outpatient hours , hands‑on inpatient care , or high-acuity night coverage , BayCare offers a role tailored to your career goals within one unified neurosurgery team.
