About The Role As a Facilities Supervisor, you will work under the general direction of the Facilities Manager to lead and coach our maintenance workforce. You will administer union agreements, ensure safe and efficient work practices, and provide expert equipment maintenance. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring equipment availability for plant operations and championing proactive maintenance programs. Key Responsibilities Schedule Management: Create and finalize work schedules for maintenance crews using input from managers, supervisors, engineers, and planners. Coordination: Develop daily maintenance schedules, prioritize jobs, and maintain a backlog of work orders. Collaboration: Work closely with operations and internal customers to ensure timely equipment repairs and communication. Safety Champion: Ensure the completion of safety work orders and accurate data collection for preventive and predictive maintenance. Training & Coaching: Train and coach trades in proper documentation and maintenance activities. Problem Solving: Identify and analyze maintenance issues, revising programs to enhance operations. Leadership: Embrace servant leadership, mentoring teams to increase self-management, and lead regular meetings. Qualifications Education: BS degree or equivalent experience. Skills: Strong mathematical capability, time management, and blueprint reading. Experience: 5 years as a scheduler or maintenance supervisor in an industrial environment. Technical Proficiency: Competency in email and office programs, with desired skills in Microsoft Excel, Google applications, and Oracle. CMMS Expertise: Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Safety Knowledge: Proven experience with safety concepts related to maintenance work. Full Job Description JOB SUMMARY Works under the general direction of the Facilities Manager to direct and coach the maintenance workforce, administer the provisions of the union agreement/contract, ensure work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner, provide equipment maintenance expertise, and ensure equipment is available for plant operations. Ensures that the workforce is available for scheduled work, that job plans are efficient and effective, and that scheduling is accurate and communicated to the workforce and operations/customers. Champions proactive maintenance, works to minimize reactive maintenance, and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Utilizes the computerized maintenance management system to manage work and ensure that data collected by hourly colleagues is accurate and complete. Essential Functions Uses input from managers, supervisors, engineers and maintenance planner to create or finalize work schedules for assigned maintenance crews. Coordinates a daily maintenance schedule for assigned trades and assists the maintenance manager in determining job priorities. Makes changes and adjustments to the schedule and work plans after a review with the maintenance planner. Maintains a complete and current backlog of work orders. Works closely with operations and other internal customers to ensure equipment repairs are completed, delays and timeframes are communicated, and equipment is returned to operation in a timely and efficient manner. Works closely with the maintenance manager, maintenance planner, and other supervisors to determine manpower availability and allocation. Champions the timely completion of safety work orders and ensures the accurate collection of work order data for preventive and predictive maintenance work. Ensures CMMS data is complete and current. Trains and coaches assigned trades in proper completion and documentation of work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment information. Identifies required materials for planned jobs and initiates appropriate requests. Identifies, analyzes and reviews maintenance problems with maintenance engineering and revises the maintenance management program as necessary to improve and enhance plant and field operations. Assists in the education of maintenance personnel. Embraces the concepts of servant leadership, and coaching & mentoring teams to increase self-management. Leads regular meetings with assigned colleagues and interfaces one-on-one for coaching, mentoring, and developing the workforce. Enforces plant safety rules. Instructs personnel in safe working habits. Responsible to investigate any accidents and implement any corrective actions necessary to prevent reoccurrence. Job Qualifications BS degree or equivalent experience. Demonstrated capability in mathematics, time management and the ability to read blueprints. Ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of the organization. General computer competency for email and office programs required. Skills with Microsoft Excel, Google applications, and Oracle desired. 5 years experience as a scheduler or maintenance supervisor in an industrial environment. Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Proven experience with safety concepts as related to maintenance work and maintenance work scheduling. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $76,000- $114,000 annually . The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
