Contract AccountantKeystone Human Services is seeking a Contract Accountant to support finance operations through financial reporting, budget preparation, funder reporting, grant and contract support, and collaboration with operational teams. This role helps ensure accurate financial information, compliance with funder requirements, and effective communication across departments.Keystone Human Services offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off; holidays; retirement savings options, including a 401(k) match; Employee Assistance Program (EAP); tuition reimbursement; professional development opportunities; and employee discount programs.Job Details:Full-time, Exempt positionHybrid schedule: Minimum of 2 days per week working out of the Hummelstown office and other regional offices as needed$63,000 per year, may increase based on experienceResponsibilities Include:Support assigned grants and contracts throughout the full lifecycle, including budget preparation, compliance tracking, and financial reportingAnalyze financial results by comparing actuals to budget, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending appropriate actionsPrepare annual budgets, funder reports, spend-down calculations, accruals, journal entries, and month-end reporting tasksLead or support monthly financial statement review meetings and provide financial guidance to operational teamsMaintain accurate records, documentation, and financial files while preserving confidentialitySupport billing, revenue recognition, deposits, supplier invoice review, and other finance-related processesCollaborate with internal departments on financial processes, reporting needs, compliance requirements, and special projectsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and two years of related work experience or equivalent education and a minimum of eight years of related work experience may be consideredNot-for-profit or government contracting experience is preferredAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to read, interpret, and apply written informationIntermediate computer skills, including experience with software and web-based systemsProficiency with advanced financial spreadsheet functionsValid driver's license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicleSuccessful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verificationsKeystone Human Services prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities and prohibits discrimination against all individuals based on any category protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.Disclaimer: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job.
