Asset Management Senior Accountant

As a Legal Entity Controller within the Asset Management Controller team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the firm’s books and records. You will focus on general ledger, operating systems, and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the product and reporting cycles.We will teach you about financial investment products, how the business operates and provide training on the automation and intelligent tools we use. We want your curiosity, intelligence and drive to take that knowledge and continually drive the business forward.Job responsibilities:Prepare/review journal entries, account reconciliations, investment reporting and schedules supporting SEC and regulatory filingsPerform pre- and post-close variance analysis and process documentationLead/participate in ad hoc projectsBuild efficiencies and strengthen the internal control environment of our teamProvide thorough documentation of work performed that will successfully withstand an audit by external or internal examinersCoordinate multiple responsibilities within tight reporting deadlinesWork outside normal business hours on a periodic basisRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills:Bachelor degree in AccountingMinimum 3+ years of experience requiredAbility to independently analyze, report, and explain financial dataAbility to apply theoretical concepts to practical situationsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications requiredAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to multi-task in a dynamic environment JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
