We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodians to join our team! In this role, you will help maintain clean, safe, and orderly facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and can work independently while completing tasks efficiently and on time.

Previous custodial experience is a plus, but we are willing to train reliable individuals with a strong work ethic. Serious inquiries only.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Part-Time
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 11 AM - 3 PM
• Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour

• Columbus Collegiate Academy (Main) - 1469 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43205
• Columbus Collegiate Academy (Dana) - 300 Dana Avenue, Columbus 43223

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, and other glass surfaces.
• Restock restroom supplies and cleaning materials.
• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, break rooms, hallways, and entrances.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment while following all safety procedures.
• Assist with room setup and cleanup for meetings or special events as needed.
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or general cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the shift.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to successfully complete a background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
