Accounting Assistant

Accountant PositionUniversal Health Corporation is a physician-owned medical practice serving post-acute and long-term care facilities. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join our growing team.The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and biweekly payroll processing, while assisting the Controller with additional accounting functions as needed.The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains strict confidentiality, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess biweekly payroll (including off-cycle payrolls) in coordination with HRMaintain accurate payroll, benefits, and compensation records in ADPManage accounts payable and ensure timely vendor paymentsOversee accounts receivable processing and trackingCoordinate payroll garnishments and required deductionsAssist with month-end close activitiesPrepare ad hoc reports and conduct expense researchMaintain detailed and accurate financial recordsSupport the Controller with additional accounting tasks as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related business field preferred (or equivalent work experience)Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceMinimum 1 year of payroll processing experience using ADPWorking knowledge of GAAP principlesIntermediate Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with Bill.com and QuickBooks Online preferredHealthcare industry experience preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and work independently Universal Health Services
