Junior Paralegal

Junior paralegal with 1-3 years of experience needed to provide support to attorneys from case inception through discovery, litigation, settlement, trial and/or appeal. Knowledge in civil litigation and trial preparation preferred. Responsibilities include:

• Pre-trial responsibilities include: subpoena preparation and notices to consumer, medical records review and chronologies, witness interviews, deposition summaries, and research.
• Trial responsibilities include: organizing and working up case for trial, issuing subpoenas, notices to attend, tracking witnesses, preparation of exhibit and witness lists and binders, preparation of CACIs, preparing discovery notebooks and trial notebooks.
• Required experience in tracking hours and billing time.

Requirements:

• Paralegal certificate preferred or BA degree with 1 year of law related experience under the supervision of an attorney.
• Candidate must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, a self-started with strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, reliable and professional.
• Candidate should have excellent organization skills as well as a high attention to accuracy and details.
• Candidate must also be proficient in MS Word and have some knowledge of Code of Civil Procedure.

Compensation: $24/hour - $27/hour ($49,920 - $56,160) Onsite or hybrid preferred.
