Sr Manager, Technical Accounting

Our client identifies, evaluates, and acquires U.S.-based cannabis operations within each state to vertically integrate, produce, and distribute medical-grade cannabis formulations in the United States offering patients and customers premium, high-grade cannabis and related products. Job Description Research and documentation of IFRS accounting treatment and review current and new accounting pronouncements and developments Prepare and/or review memorandums on complex accounting and reporting topics Provide supporting schedules, journal entries and documentation as required for assignments Support projects and find solutions to complex reporting topics Collaborate with the business development, legal and valuation teams on acquisitions and document projects and assumptions made used to determine value and accounting treatment. Support the drafting of MD&A and financial statement footnotes Development of new and revised accounting policies in accordance with IFRS as the business grows and evolves. Serve as a subject matter expert with external auditors on complex accounting treatment Participate in cross functional projects related to financial reporting and disclosure matters Drive continuous improvement in the complex accounting process Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and technical accounting experience preferred) CPA required Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams In-depth knowledge of US GAAP (knowledge of IFRS preferred) Assist in preparation of a monthly and quarterly reporting package for public company (K/Qs) Strong analytical skills with demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex challenges Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to understand, summarize and communicate complex accounting topics High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail Ability to thrive within a post-start up, fast-paced, global public company environment Ability to deal with ambiguity and change; able to act as a change agent Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr Indiveri Recruitment Partners
