Travel Nurse ER Position

Hard stop for no travel experience and/or no epic experience. The ER is large and busy. Travel experience required (hard stop), manager prefers travelers with at least three ER contracts completed. Screen if one to two completed travel assignments. 36 or 48 hour guarantee! Minimum experience: two years; first timers not accepted. Patient population: adolescents to geriatrics. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS. Required general skills and work setting requirements: general emergency department (non-trauma); very large and busy with high acuity; stroke and STEMI certified. Ratio/census: 1:4 ratio; 59 bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day. Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis. Scrub color: navy blue. RTO: max seven days. RTO blackout dates: spring break (April 4th-12th). Weekends: every other weekend unless specified elsewhere. Floating: rare but within facility/scope of practice as needed. Call requirements: not specified. Holidays: if one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day. Compliance: full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the pushback is two weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. Clinical screens: candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis. Locals accepted - same rate. Please note: number of non-billable orientation (NBO) hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 19hrs for 19 week assignment).
