An Occupational Therapist opportunity is available at a new 90-bed acute care hospital opening Spring 2026 in Gainesville, FL, offering comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical care, and a dedicated 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.

The role. Working alongside physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, the Occupational Therapist evaluates each patient's functional abilities and develops individualized therapy plans tailored to their unique goals and recovery needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote independence and quality of life, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as clinical needs evolve, and maintaining thorough and timely documentation. The therapist also educates patients and families to build confidence and engagement throughout the recovery process, and collaborates with interdisciplinary partners to support safe, seamless transitions of care. The role includes providing guidance to therapy assistants or students as appropriate.

What we're looking for.

• Vocational School Graduate Required
• State Licensed Occupational Therapist Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 1+ years of Occupational Therapist experience preferred; new graduates will be considered

Schedule. Days with rotating weekends; core hours are 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with schedules staggered based on hospital needs.

Compensation. $32.52 - $44.72/hr plus Sign on: Case by Case Basis; Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
