Lighting Designer

Job Description

Overview:

Join a national engineering consulting firm as a Lighting Designer. You'll work with residential and commercial clients to design outdoor lighting solutions that meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients and the public to assess lighting needs

• Conduct site visits to evaluate lighting requirements

• Design outdoor lighting plans based on utility infrastructure and standards

• Balance time between fieldwork (site visits, staking poles, flagging routes) and office work (designing plans)

• Communicate effectively with clients, crews, and agencies

• Handle customer complaints and find resolutions

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in power/lighting or technical training/education

• CAD software experience (BOUD, MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.)

• Basic knowledge of electric fundamentals/power distribution
