University of Colorado Anschutz Department: Medicine/Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine Job Title: MICU Shift - Open Rank-Instructor, Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, Professor Position #: 00841611 - Requisition #38290 Job Summary The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine is looking for board certified or board eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians who will perform clinical services (pulmonary or critical care) on an as-needed basis, fee-for-services on the Medical ICU night shift. Key Responsibilities Inpatient evaluation and management of acute and critically ill patients with complex medical and pulmonary diseases. Staff the Medical Intensive Care Unit and/or Medical Surgical Progressive Care Unit. Ordering and interpreting tests and evaluations for patient management Collaborating with consulting services on patient management Perform invasive procedures with appropriate credentials Provide cross-coverage for other service lines within the Division as needed Support the educational mission of the division Other duties assigned by the Lead Advanced Practice Provider and/or the Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs Please note: this position is not eligible for benefits. Each in-house night shift is paid at a flat rate of $2,500 per shift.
