Position Available: Buyer/Planner Job Summary As the Buyer/Planner, you play a critical role in procurement and negotiations for materials, components, equipment, supplies, and services, ensuring they meet company quality standards. You assume full responsibility for planning and managing the supply chain to ensure timely deliveries within budget or standard costs. Drawing on your experience and judgment, you plan and execute strategies to achieve organizational goals, focusing on efficient supply chain management and procurement practices. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop, maintain and manage Supply and Demand Plans covering multiple lead times Produce, analyze and distribute regular inventory reports and analysis to Sales, Product Management, Sourcing, Procurement, and Distribution Work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop our product inventory forecasts for designated items and report on any sales trends Prepare documentation and action items from Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings Aggregate monthly reporting Including KPI Scorecard Supply Plans Out of Stock and Overstock Root Cause Analysis Collaborate with Procurement to brief plants on forecasts to inform production planning Maintain inventory metrics; proactively escalates and resolves issues Collaborate with Sales and Product Management Teams on new product launches and product transitions Establish seasonal inventory targets Follow up on outstanding BP IT tickets and seek resolution Proactively review dashboard/alerts daily Determine order quantities for purchase orders Manage inventory in all Distribution Centers at optimal levels. Cube and place purchase orders to plants Manage changes in purchase orders in ERP Manage shipping documentation for Operations and Accounting teams Manage overages and shortages with manufacturers Contribute to process automation projects Other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field; OR 3 -5 years of demand and supply planning experience. 2 + years of experience managing customers across multiple locations. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilities. Customer-driven sense of urgency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for confident interactions with customers and vendors. Strong organizational skills to manage workload and multitask effectively. High attention to detail for effective internal and external interactions. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel and ERP system. Work Environment Office setting Physical Demands Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
