Construction Accounts Payable Specialist | Lien Waivers

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their fast-paced construction accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and has strong knowledge of construction-specific AP processes. Key Responsibilities Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Manage full-cycle accounts payable including coding, matching, and approvals Handle lien waivers and lien releases in compliance with construction industry requirements Maintain vendor files and ensure proper documentation is collected and stored Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with month-end closing activities as needed Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely payments Required Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience (construction accounting required) Strong understanding of lien rights, lien waivers, and lien release processes Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently Preferred Qualifications Experience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Timberline) Familiarity with construction job costing and project-based accounting Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally What Our Client Offers Competitive compensation Opportunity to grow within a stable construction organization Supportive and team-oriented environment Exposure to large-scale construction projects Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: The pay transparency policy is available here: For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
