Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant
Location: Menifee, CA
Position Type: Full Time
About Us:
We are a growing tax, accounting and consulting firm committed to providing excellent service to our clients. As we expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated individual with strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, especially in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online and Excel . This role will assist with client bookkeeping, payroll processing, sales tax filings, and general accounting tasks. The right candidate will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as our firm continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily and monthly bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Process payroll and related payroll tax filings
- Prepare and file sales tax reports
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Communicate with clients as needed to obtain missing information and provide updates
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Understanding of payroll processing and reporting
- Knowledge of sales tax filings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Spanish-speaking is a strong plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required
Hours:
